Social Studies Unit Packets – For each of the 13 units, there is a work book that the student reads and corresponding unit packet. Since this Social Studies Course is self-paced, this should be completed independently and is intended as a means to allow the instructor to evaluate the students’ mastery of the concepts presented in each of the units. It is recommended that the student dedicates two hours a day but no less than one hour a day. This way the student will gain the maximum benefit from this course
Basic Facts – One of the biggest frustrations students have in Social Studies is their inability of understanding the basic facts of Social Studies. Failure to have a good grasp on basic facts slows a student down, decreases accuracy, and makes the learning experience of this Social Studies Course drudgery. Basic facts constitute the very foundation of everything a student does as he advances. A realistic goal for the student is to complete four units ever quarter. There will be a specific T.A. available to assist with any questions or issuing of unit books and unit packets
Answer Keys – The answers for each lesson are included in a special section called Answer Keys. These include the keys for each Unit sections.
