All EMS services are dispatched from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office
Dispatch Center in Monticello. EMT's are certified by the State of Utah,
Bureau of EMS. San Juan County EMS also provides courses for County Sheriff's
Office Dispatchers. All EMT's are volunteers. They are paid an hourly rate for
each hour that they are out on runs. EMT's are HAZMAT Awareness level trained.
San Juan County EMS has a mutual aid agreement with Grand
County EMS. Additional services are coordinated with the following air ambulance
services: Classic Helicopter Services, Care Flight, Air Care One, St. Mary's
Hospital, and Farmington Regional Medical Center.
