Monticello, Utah Dec. 6, 1949

The Board of County Commissioners met this day in regular session in the Clerks office. All members and Clerk in attendance.

Dave Guyman, Assistant Road Supervisor, reported that he had moved the C. C. C. house owned by the County and to be used by the County for a Implement shed onto a corner of his lot in Blanding. He asked that the County buy roofing for building , and that a foundation be put under it. It was agreed that Mr. Guyman be given authority to get the roofing and cement for building and to see to having the work done.

It was moved by Rogers and seconded by Crowley that the Petition for

Franchise to Operate a Ferry at Hite, Utah,presented by A. L. Chaffin be allowed after the addition of the clause, "provided it meets the approval of the State Roaed Commission", Carried unanimously.

A. L. Chaffin of Hite, Utah, appeared and protested the sale of certain personal property situated on the Colorado River, and which the County had quit-claimed its interest to R. M. Barrett.

A motion made by Crowley, seconded by Rogers to buy a cab from the Cate Equipment Company to be installed on the County loader carried unanimously.

The budget for 1949 was set tentatively as follows:

December 31 was set as the day for approving the budget, at 10:00 o'clock A. M.

A motion by Sttten and seconded by Crowley to not raise the Extension Service Budget, but to leave it as it waslast year, carried unanimously.

It was moved by Rogers and seconded by Crowley that the report on the Bluff River Project expenses as made by D. J. Guyman be approved and the bills paid. Carried unanimously.

Clerk reported that the Galigher CO, had apid $1,058 for gravel. Clerk was instructed to send check to State Road Commission for this gravel.
