The regular session of the Board of County Commissioners was held this day in the Clerk's office, commencing at 10:00 A. M. All members and clerk present.

StAtE ROAD COMMISSION

Mr. Williams, Mr. Hayes and Mr. Murdock of the State Road Commission Div-ision of Planning were present and stated that they were making maps of all county roads in the County and wanted information on road milage added since 1936. Dale Kinneman and Kent Johnson of the grazing Service were also present to discuss roads to be taken ove by the county.

SUMMIT POINT DELEGATION

A delegation of citizens of the Summit Point District presented a petition for improvement of roads in that vicinity. Their program was discussed and the commis-sioners agreed to furnish material to build culverts whereever needed on east and West Summit road is the people would furnish labor. The offer was accepted and Albert Hall was named foreman for West Summit Road and J.C Crawford appointed f or East Summit.

R. A. Holden

It was moved by Bartell and seconded by Rogers to hire R. A. Holden as Assist-ant Road super visor at a salary of 220.00 per month, Mr. Holden to assume the responsibility of maintenance of half of the count roads.

JAIL BEDDING

The Sheriff was instructed to burn the old bedding in jail and to buy new bedding.

BEER LICENSE

Moved by Bartell and seconded by Rogers to approve the application of James Hunt's renewal of License to Sell Light Beer, Voted unamimously to do so. Clerk , instructed to issue license.

REGISTRATION AGENTS

It was unanimously agreed that the following persons be appointed registratin agents for the various precincts:

Bluff, No. 1 Margaret Nielson La Sal No. 4 Frances R. White Monticello, No 2 Louise Duckett Cedar Point No. 5, Mrs. P. E. Blanding No. 3, Irene H. Redd Carhart

Ucolo, No. 6 Elma Mourer

Motion was made by Bartell and seconded by Sitton to confirm the appoint-ment of John D. Rogers as a member of the District Welfoare Board.

SELECTIVE SERVICE

Motion was made by Sitton and seconded by Bartell to rent to the Selective Service Board the office space formerly occupied by them at $15.00 per month.

Upon motion of Bartell and seconded by Rogers it was voted to increase the salaries of all county officials 25%, retroactive to April 1, 1948. to conform to House bill No. 20 of the special session of the Legislature of April , 1948. And to raise the salary of the hold-over commissioner to $600.00 for the remainder

of his term.
