MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' MEETING HELD IN REGULAR SESSION ON MONDAY THE 3rd DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1969
PRESENT: Marion H. Hazleton, Chairman
Harold C. Young, Member Clytie Barber, Clerk
Commissioner Black was excused as he was out of town on official business.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Motion for approval was made by Commissioner Young, seconded by Commissioner Hazleton and carried unanimously.
Commissioner Young reported on a conversation with Mr. Archie Hamilton of the State Highway Department-re-garding gravel from B.L.M. lands for use on the E.D.A. Project, Redhouse stretch of road. As the negot-iations had been unsuccessful thus far, Commissioner Young stated that he would work on this matter.
Commissioner Young also stated that he would answer the request from Juab County regarding the success of the County Fair and our plans for future years.
U-95 CORRESPONDENCE
Senator Bennett sent a letter confirming his support of Hwy. 95 and of his request for funds from the Secretary of the Department of Transportation for said Highway.
Allan T. Howe, Executive Director of the Four Corners Regional Commission, also pledged his support and stated his efforts to obtain funds for U-95.
UTAH TRAVEL COUNCIL REPORT
A copy of a report to the Utah Travel Council, prepared by the Institute for the Study of Outdoor Recrea-tion and Tourism at the Utah State University, was received by the Commission. This information is pre-pared to substantiate the expenditures of the Council.
UNFINISHED MATTERS to be completed on November 10th include:
Formal acceptance of the Audit for 1968.
A decision on the back rent due from Duane Carlson on the County-owned house.
