DELEGATION FROM CEDAR POINT PRESENT IN REGARDS TO ROADS

A delegation of citizens from Cedar Point were present to discuss the progress of construction of roads in that district. They were promised road work in that area as soon as possible.

INCREASE IN SUBSISTENCE TO BE PAID

Subsistence to road men was increased from $3.00 to $4.00 per day beginning as of July 1, 1959.

COUNTY ASSESSOR TO ATTEND ASSESSOR'S SCHOOL IN CEDAR CITY ON AUGUST 20 & 21.

It was unanimously agreed that the County Assessor be allowed the sum of $90.00 to cover expenses in attend-ing the road school at Cedar City on August 20 & 21. The motion was made by Commissioner Bartell, seconded by Commissioner Hazleton, and carried.

INSURANCE POLICY RENEWED

It was unanimously agreed that Insurance Policy No. F. 2602080 to replace Insurance Policy No. 1172757 be approved * The amount is for $30,000 with a premium for the five year period of $382.80.

RAYMDND McALISTER TO MANAGE ADVERTISING DISPLAY AT CAPITOL BUILDING

Raymond McAlister was present to discuss his plans for a display to advertise San Juan County. The plan met the approval of the Board of County Commissioners and they gave their consent to having Mr. McAlister contact the proper authorities at the State Capitol to obtain advertising space.

CLERK TO CONTACT FIRST SECURITY BANK TO HAVE BONDS RUN FOR A PERIOD OF 6 YEARS

The Clerk was directed to contact the fiscal agents, Fi^st Security Bank of Utah, to have the Recreation Bonds mature over a period of six years, rather than a period of 10 years.

CHAIRMAN OF RECREATION BOARD PRESENT TO DISCUSS PLAN OF MICROWAVE PROGRAM FOR TV

Kenneth Coates, Chairman of the Recreation Board, was present to discuss the plan of microwave for TV. He stated that it may be possible for several counties to participate to help finance the program. He was di-rected to make further contacts in regards to the matter.

STEPS TAKEN TO BORROW MONEY ON TAX ANTICIPATION NOTES FROM FIRST SECURITY BANK OF UTAH

A representative of the First Security Bank was called in to discuss borrowing money on tax antipation collections. It was agreed that $200,000 be borrowed at the present time and more later if necessary. The necessary procedures will be taken by the bank for securing such money.

REVISED BUDGET FOR HEALTH CLINIC AT BLANDING SUBMITTED

Bill Cline and Marvin Lyman, representing the Blanding Health Council were present and submitted a Revised Budget for the Blanding Health Clinic and asked that it be included in the County budget for next year.

COUNTY TO TRY TO SECURE USED IRON PIPE FROM OIL DRILLING COMPANIES

Chauncey Black, Deputy Sheriff, was asked to see if he could locate any used pipe from the Oil Com-panies for San Juan County.

QUIT CLAIM DEED SIGNED BY BOARD

Upon resolution the following Quit Claim Deed was signed by the Commissioners:

San Juan County, a body politic, existing under and by virtue of the laws of the State of Utah, Grantor, hereby quit Claims to William C. Black and Amy S. Black, his wife, as joint tenants and not as tenants in common, with right of survivorship, Grantees of Monticello, San Juan County, State of Utah, for the sum of One Dollar and other good and valuable consideration, the following described land situated in San Juan County, State of Utah, to wit:

Beginning 1790 feet West of the East Quarter Corner of Section 36, Township 33 South, Range 23 East, and running thence South 660 feet; thence West 132 feet; thence North 660 feet; thence East 132 feet to beginning.

Witness the hands of said Grantor this 3rd day of August, 1959.

Upon the recommendation of the County Attorney, a motion was made by Commissioner Hazleton, seconded by Commissioner Bartell, and carried that the above Quit Claim Deed be executed.

A parcel of land having been sold by the County of San Juan to Harold Frost, a motion was made by Commissioner Bartell, seconded by Commissioner Hazleton, and carried, that the Commissioners execute a Quit Claim Deed to that particular land: as follows:

San Juan County, a body corporate and politic of the State of Utah, whose mailing address is Monticello, Utah, Grantor, hereby Quit Claims to Harold Frost, Grantee, of Monticello, San Juan County, State of Utah, for the sum of $200.00 the following described tracts of land in San Juan County, State of Utah:

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block A, Monticello Townsite Survey, and running thence East 150.7 feet mote or less to the East boundary line of Section 36, Township 33 South, Range 23 East, Salt Lake Meridian, thence North following said East Boundary line of said Section 36 a distance of 414.7 feet, hence East 71.5 feet, thence North 14.3 feet to the Northeast corner of said Black A, thence West 222.2 feet more or less to the Northwest corner of said Block A, thence South 492 feet to the point of be-ginning; excepting and reserving unto the Grantor, an undivided one-half interest in and to all the oil, gas and other mineral rights in and to said premises together with the right of ingress and egress for the purposes of exploring for mining and producing the same.
