MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' MEETING HELD AT MONTICELLO, UTAH ON MAY 25, 1959 at 10 A. M. Meeting opened with all Commissioners and Clerk present. CABARET LICENSE GRANTED

Ken and Lulu Plank were present to ask permission to operate a Cabaret at their place of business at La-Sal, Utah. They are in the process of remodeling their building and needed a commitment as to whether a Cabaret License would be granted them before continuing their remodeling.

After due consideration, a motion was made by Commissioner Hazleton, seconded by Commissioner Bartell, and unanimously carried, that the County will issue a Cabaret License upon completion of their building.

QUIT CLAIM DEED GIVEN BY SAN JUAN COUNTY TO LAVAE WRIGHT REDD OF BLANDING

L. Robert Anderson, having presented evidence that the following described property which was taken by San Juan County on May 24, 1924, by Auditor's Tax Deed and recorded May 24, 1924, in Book ATD No. 1 at page 4, and later redeemed by George A. Hurst, and taxes paid by George A. Hurst from that date, but that no deed was issued or recorded through failure of the County to do so. Mr. F. Bennion Redd, County Attor-ney, was of the opinion that a Quit Claim Deed should be granted to the present owners.

It was unanimously agreed by all Commissioners that a quit claim deed should be issued and they executed same to the following described property:

Beginning 55 ft. South of the NW Corner of Lot 1, Block 26, Blanding Townsite Survey, and running thence South 100 ft; East 70 ft; North 100 ft; West 70 ft. to beginning.

BIDS TO BE RECEIVED FOR COUNTY OWNED LAND

It was unanimously agreed that the Clerk advertise the following described land in the San Juan Record, a newspaper having general circulation in the County,to be sold by San Juan County through bidding. Sealed bids to be received by the Clerk and opened in the Commissioner's Room of the County Court House at the Commissioner's regular meeting on June 15th, 1959 at 10 A. M., the Clerk to also send notices of the sale to the following people who have already made inquiry regarding the sale of land.

Parcel A.

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block A, Monticello Townsite Survey, and running thence East 150.7 feet more or less to the East boundary line of Section 36, Township 33 South, Range 23 East, Salt Lake Meridian, thence North following said East boundary line of said Section 36 a distance of 414.7 feet, thence East 71.5 feet, thence North 14.3 feet to the Northeast corner of said Block A, thence West 222.2 more or less to the Northwest corner of Block A, thence South 492 feet to the point of beginning.

Parcel B

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Block B, Monticello Townsite Survey, and running thence East 141.5 feet to the East Boundary line of Section 36, Township 33 South, Range 23 East, thence North along said East boundary line 152 feet, thence West 141.5 feet, thence South 152 feet to the point of beginning.

Homer Chandler, Monticello City Manager was present to reiterate their previous request that the County pass a Sales Tax Ordinance.

Minutes of the previous two meetings were read and approved. Meeting adjourned.
