BLUFF -"ALL TRIBES" COMMITTEE REQUESTS ASSISTANCE ON RIGHT-OF-WAY TO RECREATION AREA

Eugene Foushee and 6 members of the All Tribes Indian Days Committee met with the Commission and informed

them that they are having to move from the area previously used for the annual celebration and are looking

for a long-range usable piece of ground. They spoke of an area in Cottonwood Wash that is suitable, but

access to the area requires crossing privately owned land, and the owner who lives in Provo, is against

giving any right-of-way.

The Commissioners stated that they will investigate an old roadway once used in the area and attempt to

come up with some alternative, rather than condemnation of a road-way, as the County does not desire to

start the practice of purchasing right-of-ways.

Albert Harris who was present, stated that he would investigate the matter from the Bureau of Land

Management angle.

ROAD DAMAGE REPORTED - #120 Needles Road

Maxine Christensen reported to the Commission that serious road damage, exists on the Needles Road between Hwy #160 and Dugout Ranch. The Commissioners replied that the area has been inspected and that repairs should be completed by the following day.
