MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' MEETING HELD AT MONTICELLO, UTAH ON DECEMBER 21, 1959, at 10 A. M. IN REGULAR SESSION

Meeting opened with all Commissioners present, also Clerk, Wm. C. Walton conducting.

This was the day and hour set for Public Hearing on the 1960 Budget. A goodly number of tax payers were present to review the budget as it was tentatively set up. Suggestions were given and the budget will be reviewed by the Commissioners in connection with the budgeting officer to see if reductions can be made.

STANLEY TITLE COMPANY TO BE BILLED FOR ROOM RENTAL

A motion was made by Commissioner Hazleton, seconded by Commissioner Bartell, and unanimously carried, that The Stanley Title Company of Heber, Utah be notified by the Clerk that they will be required to pay a monthly rental of room space at the San Juan County Court House in the amount of $25.00.

BLUFF CITIZENS REQUEST IMPROVEMENT OF STREETS

A signed petition by Bluff citizens living in the Cottonwood addition have asked that improvements be made on the streets in the Cottonwood addition and that they also be be provided with lights. The matter was referred to the County Engineer to make a survey of the situation and to determine the County's re-sponsibility in the matter.

COUNTY TO CONSIDER BUYING A ROLL-0-PACTOR AND SHEEP'S FOOT ROLLER

George H. Newell, County Engineer, was present to discuss buying a roll-o-pactor and sheep's foot roller for use on county roads. He stated that he had received estimates of cost of both pieces of machinery for new and used equipment but that he will further negotiate for definite costs.
