CITY MANAGER REQUESTS THE COUNTY TO PASS A SALES TAX ORDINANCE
Homer Chandler, City Manager of Monticello, met with the Board to request that the County Accept the Sales Tax Ordinance as passed by the State Legislature. He stated that Monticello was desirous of participating in a Sales Tax and that City Officials of Blanding had expressed the same desire to him. He asked the County to Adopt a sales tax immediately so that the cities could then adopt the ordinance. He further stated that he would like the County to stipulate into the ordinance that the County reimburse the city the taxes collected adjacent to cities by businesses using city utilities.
No action was taken on the above request and the matter will be taken under advisement. NO SOLICITING NOTICES TO BE POSTED IN COURT HOUSE
