MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' MEETING HELD AT MONTICELLO, UTAH ON SEPTEMBER 14, 1959 at 10 A. M.

Meeting opened at 10 A. M. in the Commissioners' Room of the County Court House at 10 A. M., Commissioers Walton and Hazleton being present, also Clerk Palmer.

The following bills were approved:

GENERAL FUND San Juan Electric Repairs on radios, Sheriff's Dept. 115.40

HOSPITAL CONSTRUCTION FUND

Lewis Eric Sandstrom Architectural fees and mileage 1267.68

Alder-Child Construction Co. Certificate No. 12, Construction fees 57,829.50

COUNTY ROAD FUND

B ROAD FUND

Fredrick A. Rogers Salary and Subsistence 382.00

Alfred H. Helquist Salary and Subsistence 402.00

Ben Hess Salary less time off 307.50

CLERK TO INFORM ROADMEN OF REGULATION OF TIME SPENT IN ROAD SHED

The Clerk was directed to write letters to George A. Newell, Leroy Wood and Robert Bryan that the whole Board of County Commissioners are in favor of regulating the hours spent in the County shed and that the same hours shall be kept as other County employees on roads, the shop to open and close at the same specified hours and to be closed on Saturdays, except for emergency purposes, and that any deviations from these hours must be approved by the Commisioner in charge of roads.

COUNTY WILL NOT SEND WOMAN DIRECTOR OF CIVIL DEFENSE TO WASHINGTON, D. C. FOR MEETING ON SEPT. 28,29 & 30.

It was unanimously agreed that the Woman Director of Civil Defense will not be sent to the meeting in

Washington, D. C. on September 28,29 and 30, 1959.

USED

COUNTY WILL NOT PURCHASE/TD 14 "Cat"

The Clerk was directed to write to Frost Black of Blanding that San Juan County will not purchase the used TD 14 "Cat" that he desires to sell. The decision was unanimous with the Board.
